Home Care Tips
Taking proper care of your jewellery keeps it beautiful for years. Here’s how to care for Sterling Silver, 14K Gold, and 18K Gold jewellery:
925 Sterling Silver (with Rhodium / Micron Plating)
- Store silver pieces in a soft pouch or airtight box to prevent tarnish.
- Avoid exposing to perfume, hairspray, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage plating.
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth after wearing.
- For plated silver, avoid frequent polishing creams, stick to gentle cleaning.
14K & 18K Gold (Yellow, White, Rose)
- Gold is durable, but still avoid contact with chlorine, bleach, or strong cleaners.
- Keep jewellery in a separate pouch/box to avoid scratches.
- Clean occasionally with lukewarm water, mild soap, and a soft brush, then pat dry.
- For white and rose gold, professional polishing every few years helps maintain shine.
General Care for All Jewellery
- Remove jewellery when swimming, exercising, or doing heavy work.
- Always put jewellery on after applying makeup or perfume.
- Regularly check clasps and settings to ensure stones remain secure.
- Rotate pieces, don’t wear the same jewellery every single day to extend life.
